Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes activities that are prohibited when using the Live12 DB API and related services (the “Service”). It supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to comply with this AUP.

1. General principles

Use the Service lawfully, responsibly, and in a way that does not harm Live12 DB, its other customers, or third parties. You are responsible for all activity conducted with your API keys.

2. Prohibited activities

  • Violating any applicable law or regulation, or infringing the rights of others.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service, including denial-of-service attacks.
  • Circumventing rate limits, quotas, authentication, or other usage controls.
  • Reselling, redistributing, or systematically extracting bulk copies of the datasets except as expressly permitted by your plan.
  • Reverse engineering the Service except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Using the Service to transmit malware or to facilitate fraudulent or deceptive activity.

3. Fair use & rate limits

Each plan includes request quotas and rate limits, which are reported in response headers (X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset). Do not attempt to evade these limits across multiple keys or accounts. Excessive automated traffic that degrades the Service for others is prohibited.

4. Security & API keys

Keep API keys confidential and do not embed them in publicly accessible client-side code or repositories. Rotate keys if you suspect they have been exposed, and report suspected vulnerabilities responsibly to support@live12db.com.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including throttling, suspending, or terminating access, with or without notice depending on the severity. We may also cooperate with law enforcement where required.

6. Reporting abuse

To report a violation of this AUP, contact us at support@live12db.com.

7. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
